Remember To Breathe

Hi again!  Have you had a good day?  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni Blog Hop card, click here or scroll down one post.  I'm back to post the card I made for the current Saturated Canary Challenge #22 (black and white and one color).  My card is also for Tuesday Morning Sketches #157.

Here is TMS-157:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of SU Basic Black and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Olivia collection.  I guess I don't need to mention that my "one color" is pink.  The fun image is Yoga Girl from Saturated Canary.  You can find her in Krista's store here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.   A banner of stitched ribbon and a few black rhinestones from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a great night and I hope to see you soon!

Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni Blog Hop

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  It's the last Tuesday of the month which means it's time for another Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni blog hop!  Each month, several former Heartfelt Creations designers get together and share projects made with some of our favorite Heartfelt Creations products.  If you arrived here from Marsha's wonderful blog, you are in the right place. If not, you'll want to go Olga's blog and hop from there since Olga is the first stop on the hop and you definitely won't want to miss any of the team's gorgeous creations!

Here is my card for this month's hop:

I started with a card base of SU Chocolate Chip and layered with patterned paper from the Kaisercraft The Lake House 8x8 pad.  I really love the colors and patterns in these beautiful papers!  I went back to one of my favorite older Heartfelt Creations sets, HCPC 572 Clematis/Cottage PreCut Set.   I think this set is retired now, but you can check out all the gorgeous new collections at the Heartfelt Creations site here.  I stamped the image on Cryogen White and colored it with my Copics. I added a bit of Diamond Stickles to the flower centers for a little shimmer.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations Mini Messages Cursive, which may also be retired now.  Sorry about that.  A May Arts silk bow and a few adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop on the hop is Tesa's fantastic blog.  Be sure to leave a comment on every blog as you hop because one comment will be chosen at random from one of the blogs and the lucky commenter will win a $25 gift certificate for the Heartfelt Creations store!  You have until Friday, August 3rd at midnight EDT to add your comment.  The winner will be announced on our blogs by noon on Saturday, August 4th.

If you get lost along the way, here is the whole line-up for the hop:
Olga
Kerry
Lisa
Marsha
Carla (you are here)
Tesa

Have a great day and see you soon!

No Pouting

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  We've got a lot of errands and such to do today, but before getting going, I'm popping in to share the card I made for a few challenges I like to do.  My card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #164, Addicted-To-Stamps Challenge #35 (Christmas in July), Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (Christmas in July) and Cute Card Thursday #277 (distressing).

Here is SSW-164:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Ruby Red cardstock and layered with patterned papers from the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium and Christmas Past 8x8 pads.  The cute image is from Whoopsi Daisy.  Linnie generously shared it as a freebie awhile back.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Red and Gold Stickles to her hair bows and buttons on her coat.  The cute musical sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I thought it perfect for this sweet little girl!  I distressed around the image and sentiment panels with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  An antique gold sheer bow and a couple of tags from the Christmas Emporium pad, tied with a bit of Baker's Twine, finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day and a great weekend!  See you soon!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  As far as I am concerned, the weekend is here!  Yay!  I've got quite a few things to get done before the end of the day, but before I get to it, I'm here to share my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "anything goes" or, as always for the last challenge of the month, you can create a calendar page with the free printable template we have provided in the challenge thread.  The calendar page is completely OPTIONAL! As you see, I went with the "anything goes" theme.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of GKD Smoky Slate and layered with SU Island Indigo and patterned paper from the DCWV Mariposa 12x12 pad.   The gorgeous image is #336 Girl & Butterfly from Dilly Beans Stamps, our sponsor for the July Copic/Promarker Challenges.  Megan generously provided me with this beautiful stamp for my creation. I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.   The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  My only embellishments were three Wild Orchid Crafts roses.  I really wanted to highlight the dramatic image.

Here is a close-up:

My card is also for this week's Crafts and Me Challenge #94 (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and our wonderful July Guest Designer, Ann Marie.  We hope you will play along!  This is your last chance to be in the running to win 3 digis from Dilly Beans Stamps. And as always, there are fabulous monthly prizes up for grabs when you enter any of the challenges at The Outlawz!

Have a great day and a great weekend and I'll see you soon!

Sugar and Spice

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today so I can share the card I did for a couple of challenges I like to do when I can.  It is for Kenny K.s Krafty Krew #103 (strawberries and cream), the Corrosive Challenge #154 (cheeky, saucy, sassy) and the Coloring Challenge #48 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom (anything goes with a girly twist).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with GKD Red Hot cardstock and layered with strawberry patterned papers from the Gina K. Berries & Vines 6x6 pack.  My sassy image is Sweet Melissa from Kenny K.  She looks so sweet and innocent, doesn't she?  I wouldn't be too sure about that!!  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added Liquid Pearls to her necklace and silver studs to her shoes with my Letraset Silver Metallic Pen.   She is framed with a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif.

Here is a close-up of Melissa:

My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and a few adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by again today!  Have a great night and hope to see you soon!

You Are Missed

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  Hope you've had a good week so far!  Only one day away from the weekend now - we're on the home stretch!  I'm here early today to share the card I made for this week's Mo's DP2 Challenge #145.  The fun theme this time is "in the dog house".  My card is also for Sketch Saturday #217, Just Us Girls Challenge #146 (color challenge) and Simon Says Stamp (anything goes).

Here is SS-217:

and here is the JUGS Color Inspiration:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I used SU Island Indigo cardstock and layered the sketch panels with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg 6x6 pad.  The colors were a perfect match to the JUGS colors!  My adorable Mo's image is Honey's Greeting.  You can find it in Mo's old store here.  I printed Honey on Cryogen White and colored with my Copics.  I didn't blend smoothly on the cute pup so it would look more like fur.  I'm not sure how successful that attempt was, but that is where I was going.   I added a bit of Yellow Stickles to the towel and the collar.  My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  A couple of Crushed Curry ribbon tags, a triple-loop bow of dyed seam binding and a Webster's Pages Whimsy Heart finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!

Go Team USA

Good afternoon!  Happy Wednesday!  We're halfway to the weekend again!  How did that happen?  Not that it's not a good thing - lol!  Just amazed at how the time flies by!  I'm popping in really quickly to share a card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #195 (Olympics/sports), the One Stop Craft Challenge #192 (Olympics/sports) and Seems A Little Sketchy #18 (sketch).

Here is SALS #18:

Here is my card:

I used SU Night of Navy cardstock and layered with patterned papers from October Afternoon.  I'm not sure which 8x8 pads, because the pieces were in my scrap bag.  My cute image is Soccer/Football from MayzyArt.  You can find her in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I went online and had a look at the Team USA Women's Soccer uniforms for the Olympics and tried to color as closely as possible to that.    The simple sentiment was done with a sticky alpha set from my stash.    I finished the card with a couple of pieces of navy stitched ribbon.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope things will stay quiet so I can get around to visit your blogs tonight!

Have a good one!

Stella and Luna

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I was out all day yesterday and will be out a lot of today, too, but before I head out, I wanted to share a card I made with another fun MayzyArt image. I was thrilled when Mayzy told me she was featuring my blog on her blog today!  My card today is for Friday Sketch Challenge #22, Jackson's Digital Expressions #15 (anything goes) and Digital Tuesday #170 (photo inspiration).

Here is the sketch:

And here is the photo inspiration:

Here is my card:

I took my inspiration from the soft purple, peach and blue colors in the photo.  I started with a card base of SU Chocolate Chip and layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey What's Up 6x6 pad.  My sweet image is Stella and Luna from MayzyArt.  She can be found in Mayzy's Etsy shop here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles her and there for a little sparkle.  A few roses and aster daisies from Wild Orchid Crafts and three adhesive pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Here are links on my blog to a few other cards or projects I've made with Mayzy's fun images: Shawna With Latte, Rosebud the Fairy, Lemon Lucy, Let's Party and Berry Betty.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to get back later and check out all your blogs.  I've missed visiting these last couple of days!

Have a good one and see you soon!

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Our weather was a mixed bag, but nothing that interfered with any plans so it worked out fine.  I'm so excited about my post this morning!  I was invited to be Guest Designer for the Love To Create Challenge this week!  I am really honored to have been asked!  The theme for Challenge #25 is "spots 'n dots" and the sponsors are Papelito's Stamps and Meljen's Designs.  I was generously provided with a few Meljen's digis to choose from to create my card.  All of Melissa's digis are so cute, it was hard to pick!

Here is  my "spots 'n dots" card:

I used SU Chocolate Chip and Groovy Guava cardstock and layered with "spotty and dotty" patterned papers from the Bo Bunny Little Miss 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Little Girl Bear Hugs from Meljen's Designs.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It Blending card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and have fun plans for the weekend!  I'm here to post my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "the Olympics or sports-related."  Very appropriate with the 2012 Summer Olympics opening in London in just a week's time.

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used GKD Red Hot cardstock and layered with patterned papers from the Webster's Pages In Love, Palm Beach & Game On Petite Papers pack.  My cute sports image is Soccer  from Kenny K.  I printed him on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.

Here is a close-up:

My sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I added a few stars punched from the same patterned paper pack to finish my card.

My card is also for Sketch Saturday #216, The Squirrel and The Fox Challenge #22 (kids or babies) and Kenny Ks Krafty Krew Challenge #102 (get sporty).

Here is SS-216:

I used Baroque Burgundy cardstock and three patterned papers from the Prima Melody 6x6 pad.  My fun Mo's image is Veronica.  You can find her in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added Stickles to her party hat, the gift and her earrings and shoes.

Dance to Your Own Music

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  We're half-way to the weekend!  I've got lots to do today, before I get to it, I'm popping in to share the card I made for Mo's DP2 Challenge #143.  "Dancing and Singing" is this week's fun theme.  My card is also for Divas by Design #44 (anything goes) and Crafts and Me #93 (ribbon and a bow).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Groovy Guava and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Citron 6x6 pad.  I merged two fun Mo's images - Introducing Oskar and Mummu and Me.  They are available in Mo's store here.  I printed the merged image on Copic X-Press it Blending Card and colored with my Copics.

Here is a close-up of the image:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some stitched ribbon, a bow and a few adhesive pearls from my stash finished off my card.

Celebrate!

Hi there!  I'm back with another quick post to share a card I made for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #39 (circle card).  It is also for this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge (all things girlie).

Here is my card:

I made the scalloped circle easel base from SU Blue Bayou using Spellbinders Grand and Classic Circle Nestabilities.  I layered the top and inside with patterned paper from The My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Citron 6x6 pad.  My cute girly-girl image is Emily Rose Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I have her as a digi but she is now only available as a rubber stamp here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added Star Dust, Crystal and Fruit Punch Stickles to the sheer layers of her hat and dress and to the hat embellishments.

Here is a close-up of Emily Rose:

The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I popped it up on the inside to act as an easel stop.  A double-loop bow of stitched ribbon finished my girly circle card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope to see you soon!

Diva

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your day has started off great!  We had some thunderstorms yesterday and I think we can expect some more rain today.  It's keeping the temperatures down and giving our poor grass a drink, so it's all OK.  Before I move on with the day, I'm popping in to share the card I made for the Jackson's Digital Expressions July Release challenges.  Challenge #14 this week is anything goes with the twist to use a coloring medium.  My card also fit the first July release challenge (#11), which was to feature any flowers except roses.

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of Elegant Eggplant and layered with patterned papers from the Memory Box Viola 6x6 pack.  My elegant image is Diva by Fine Arts by Robert Jackson.  You can find her in the Females section of Robert's store here.  I printed her on Copic X-Press It and colored her with my Copics.  I added Star Dust Stickles to her shawl and headband and Purple Stickles to her gown.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  No roses here, just a Wild Orchid Crafts Gardenia and two Cherry Blossoms to finish off my card.

Here is a close of the Diva:

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and I hope to see you back soon!

Need Coffee!

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Once I had a couple of cups of my favorite coffee, I was good to go!  Before that, not so much!  I'm popping in to share the project I made for the MayzyArt Challenge #5 - Anything But A Card.   I often have a tough time with these challenges as I'm really a card person, but for this one, I knew right away what I wanted to do.

Here is my project:

I'm going to show a couple more views because it was really hard to get good pics of this for some reason.  I  covered a recycled coffee bag with patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus 12x12 pad.  I used another of the papers for the band around the bag where the label was.  My cute image is Shawna With Latte from MayzyArt.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.   The fun sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I printed it out and cut it into single words.  I thought this would make perfect for a gift of whole bean coffee for one of my coffee addict friends!

Here is a close-up with the sentiment:

And finally a close-up of just Shawna:

I am also entering my card in the Charisma Cardz Challenge #27 (recycle something - I recycled the coffee bag) and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #194 (food and drink).
Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day and hope to see you soon!
